Last night we welcomed over 50 overseas delegates as part of the Ulster Historical Foundation’s Family History Conference.  The popularity of this conference is growing and is now held twice a year to meet demand.  The meal was catered by Loaf, a social enterprise based in Belfast.  Loaf Catering provides training and work experience placements for catering trainees with learning difficulties or autism. The delegates enjoyed a talk by our Heritage and Archive Manager on the history of Clifton House as the Poor House of Belfast and a traditional music session.  The work is only beginning for those trying to search their Irish heritage, but I am sure they will have a wonderful  time in the next week enjoying all the sights that Ireland has to offer.
